Wagering Requirements at Richroyal: The Full Calculation
Every conversation about casino bonuses eventually reduces to one number, and it is not the percentage on the banner. It is the total amount that has to be staked before bonus money becomes ordinary money. This page performs that calculation on the terms the Richroyal platform publishes, shows what each variable does to the result, and closes with the comparison that gives this portal its purpose: what the same requirement would look like under German rules.
The formula and the variables in it
The requirement is 40 times the bonus amount, applied to the bonus alone rather than to the bonus plus the deposit, which is the more favourable of the two conventions in common use. The deadline is 14 calendar days from crediting. While the bonus is active, no single round may be staked above 5 €. Contribution differs by category: slots count at 100 percent, table games and live tables at 10 percent, and video poker at nothing at all. Those four variables produce every figure below.
| Bonus | Requirement on slots | Equivalent on tables at 10 percent | Minimum rounds at 5 € |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 € | 800 € | 8.000 € | 160 |
| 50 € | 2.000 € | 20.000 € | 400 |
| 100 € | 4.000 € | 40.000 € | 800 |
| 200 € | 8.000 € | 80.000 € | 1.600 |
What the turnover costs in expectation
A stake is not a deposit, and the two are constantly confused. Money staked is recycled: a win returns to the balance and is staked again, so 4.000 € of turnover does not mean 4.000 € of deposits. What it does mean is 4.000 € exposed to the margin built into the games. With a typical slot margin, running that volume costs a few hundred euro in expectation, and that expected cost is the genuine price of converting a 100 € bonus. A player who finishes the requirement with the bonus intact has usually paid more for it than it was worth; a player who was going to stake that volume regardless has paid nothing extra. Those are the only two categories, and each reader belongs to exactly one of them.
Where the contribution table quietly rewrites everything
The 10 percent rate on table games and live tables is not a detail. It multiplies the obligation by ten, turning a difficult requirement into an impossible one, and video poker at zero percent means the requirement can never move there at all. A bonus is therefore an offer aimed at slot players specifically. Anyone whose preference lies elsewhere should read the contribution line first and, in most cases, decline. The category descriptions on the slots page explain why slots are the category the arithmetic is designed around.
The clauses that end a requirement early
Three things stop the clock without finishing the job. Exceeding the 5 € stake ceiling on a single round voids the bonus and everything won from it, and the check is automatic. Letting the 14 days elapse removes the remaining bonus and its winnings while leaving deposited funds intact. Requesting a payout while the requirement is unfinished normally cancels the bonus in the same way. The wording is on the bonus terms page, and the payout mechanics on the withdrawal page.
The same requirement under German rules
This is where the comparison becomes concrete. The Glücksspielstaatsvertrag that took effect on 1 July 2021 caps the stake of a virtual slot spin at 1 € and requires at least five seconds between spins, with autoplay prohibited and jackpots not permitted. Turning over 4.000 € under those conditions would take four thousand spins and, at five seconds each, more than five and a half hours of uninterrupted play, all inside a monthly deposit ceiling of 1.000 € shared across every German-licensed platform through LUGAS. In other words, a 40 times requirement in 14 days is not a hard offer in the German system, it is an arithmetically unavailable one. That is why bonuses of this shape live on platforms outside the whitelist maintained by the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder in Halle an der Saale, and Richroyal, licensed in another EU member state, is one of them. The protections that come with the whitelist, including the panic button and the OASIS exclusion register run by the Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt with its minimum three-month block, are absent here in exactly the same measure as the constraints are. The voluntary substitutes are on the self-exclusion page.
