What the job actually consists of

Reading. The German State Treaty on Gambling runs to dozens of paragraphs, the implementing guidance of the supervisory authority adds more, and the terms document of a single operator is rarely shorter than the statute it ignores. Somebody has to sit with all three open at once and work out where they contradict each other. That is the work behind every page on this site, and it looks nothing like a casino review.

The output is deliberately narrow: what a rule requires, whether it applies to this operator, and what the difference costs or saves a reader in euros. When a question cannot be answered from a public document or from the operator's own published terms, the page says so instead of filling the gap with confident-sounding prose.

Sources, in order of weight

Marketing material sits at the bottom of that list, where it belongs. A trust badge is a graphic file; a register entry is a fact.

Three habits that shape the texts

First: convert every percentage into a number of euros. A wagering requirement of 40 times means nothing until it becomes 4,000 euros of turnover in 14 days, and then it means a great deal. Second: name the counterparty. Behind the account will be reviewed stands a specific compliance department with a specific deadline, and readers deserve to know which. Third: state the downside in the same paragraph as the upside. An operator outside the German permit regime does spare its customers the 5.3 percent stake tax — and does so precisely because none of the statutory safeguards apply either. Splitting those two halves across different pages would be a kind of lying by layout.

What you will not find here

No invented licence numbers, no promised returns, no claim that a game is due. No player quotes with a first name and a town attached, because those are unverifiable and exist only to fill space. No instructions for reaching a blocked site. And no recommendation to gamble: these pages explain a market, they do not encourage participation in it.

Corrections and contact

If a figure on this site no longer matches the operator's cashier, the report gets checked against the current terms and the page is rewritten with a fresh date. Reports that cannot be reproduced receive an answer explaining why. The commercial relationship that funds the work is documented under affiliate disclosure, the editorial approach under about this site, and the long-form assessment of the platform under reviews.

Away from the statute book

Outside working hours the reading material improves considerably: railway history, long-distance cycling routes along the Elbe, and the kind of cooking that requires a timer rather than talent. All three teach the same lesson that shows up in the texts on this site — the interesting part is never the promise, it is the timetable.
