paysafecard at Richroyal: Deposits Only, and Why That Matters
A paysafecard is a prepaid voucher bought for cash at a German kiosk, petrol station or supermarket and redeemed online by entering a sixteen-digit code. At the Richroyal cashier it is a deposit instrument and only a deposit instrument. That single asymmetry shapes everything else on this page, because a route that cannot pay out forces a second route to exist, and that second route has to be verified before any money leaves the account.
How the voucher works at the cashier
The reader buys a voucher at the till, receives a printed code, selects paysafecard in the cashier and enters the code. The value is credited immediately, because there is no bank in the loop and nothing to settle: the value was already paid for in cash. The floor at this platform is 10 €, and a bonus requires 20 €, so a single small voucher funds an account but not a promotion. Vouchers can normally be combined to reach a larger amount, though the provider sets its own ceiling on how much may be redeemed in a given period, and German identification rules apply to larger sums held in a paysafecard account.
The return path has to be built separately
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | 10 € |
| Deposit speed | immediate |
| Payout by voucher | not possible |
| Payout route instead | SEPA transfer or Skrill wallet |
| Minimum withdrawal | 15 € |
| Payout review | up to 24 hours, up to 48 hours the first time |
| Weekly withdrawal ceiling | up to 4.000 € |
The consequence is practical. A reader who deposits by voucher and then wins has to nominate a bank account or a wallet in their own name and verify it, which means an identity document, a current proof of address and evidence that the destination belongs to them. Doing that at the moment a withdrawal is wanted adds days; doing it right after registration adds nothing.
Anonymity is not what it appears to be
The voucher purchase is anonymous at the till, and that is the honest attraction of the instrument. The gambling account is not. The operator still has to identify the account holder before releasing money, because the obligation sits on the recipient of the payment rather than on the payment method, and the payout route is a named bank account or a named wallet in any case. What the voucher genuinely achieves is the absence of a gambling line on a German bank statement. Readers using it for that reason should be clear with themselves about who the statement was being hidden from, because hiding a habit from oneself is not a payment problem.
The illusion of a spending cap
A voucher is often described as a budgeting tool: the value is fixed, so nothing more can be lost. That is true of one voucher and false of an evening. Nothing stands between a reader and a second trip to the kiosk, and cash purchases leave no cumulative record to notice. A genuine limit is one that a person cannot lift in the moment they most want to, which is exactly the design principle behind the German system: OASIS, the nationwide exclusion register maintained by the Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt, blocks a person from every licensed casino, arcade and bookmaker at once for a minimum of three months, and it cannot be undone on impulse. LUGAS enforces a shared deposit ceiling of 1.000 € per month across all German-licensed anbieter combined and refuses parallel sessions. Both belong to the permit system created by the Glücksspielstaatsvertrag of 2021 and supervised by the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder from Halle an der Saale, and both apply only to platforms on its whitelist.
Where Richroyal stands
The platform is licensed elsewhere in the European Union and does not appear on that whitelist, so the statutory package is absent: no 1 € cap on the stake of a slot spin, no five-second rhythm between spins, no ban on autoplay, no panic button obligation, no LUGAS ceiling and no OASIS link. What exists instead are voluntary account settings, described on the self-exclusion page, and the reader own decisions. A prepaid voucher fits neatly into that world precisely because it asks nothing of anyone, which is its convenience and its weakness at the same time. Anyone who wants a second opinion on their own play can use the BZgA campaign Spielen mit Verantwortung, its Check dein Spiel self-test, or a Suchtberatungsstelle in their Bundesland.
